Roslyn Theater Company Co-Founder, Jill Studley is the heart and soul of the school. Jill's "everyone's a star" philosophy ensures a happy, supportive learning environment. Jill graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts where she had the opportunity to work with many theater greats such as Marcel Marceau, Wendy Wasserstein and David Mamet. She also studied at Actors and Directors Lab. Jill performed in several musicals in Community Theater productions. Additionally, Jill taught acting and staged children's theater productions at the Sid Jacobson JCC and in the Roslyn School District.
Jordan acts as Artistic Director and is a Co-Founder of The Roslyn Theater Company. He has been working professionally On and Off-Broadway, and on television and film for over 20 years. He appeared in the original Broadway company of Les Misérables, as well as performed in Sunset Boulevard and Falsettos. Off-Broadway he created and performed his roles over 2,500 times in I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change and Bob in Beau Jest. He toured nationally with Tommy and City of Angels. Regionally he has performed in The Times at The Long Wharf Theater, A Chorus Line and Baby at Marriott's Lincolnshire and Little Shop of Horrors at the Charles Playhouse in Boston. He was a two-time soloist at Carnegie Hall as well as a soloist with the Israel Philharmonic in Tel Aviv. His television credits include appearances on "Ed," "Law & Order," "Law & Order CI and S.V.U.," "One Life to Live," "Guiding Light" and "Loving" and "All My Children."
Actor/director/dancer Juliana studied acting with Stella Adler and at the Lee Strasberg Institute. Her training includes classical ballet, choreography, and voice. She appeared with the Baltimore Theatre Ensemble in: Nina/The Seagull, Maggie/After the Fall, Medea/Medea. She founded the acting company Exploring Chekhov, modeling the company on the Stanislavski Theater of Moscow. Her roles included Yelena/Uncle Vanya, Widow/The Bear, Nina/The Seagull, and Masha/Three Sisters. Regional theater roles: Joan/Dames at Sea, Aldonza/ Dulcinera/Man of LaMancha, Nancy/Olivier among many others. Juliana has directed stage productions, films and written two screenplays. Her television credits include Secret Lives of Stepford Wives for DIscovery ID, Celebrity Ghost Stories, Unraveled for NBC Peacock, Animals Inside Me for Animal Planet and I Killed My BFF for Lifetime.
Steve Belfer has been musical director of numerous projects at Roslyn Theater Company and elsewhere,
including High School Musical, Bye Bye Birdie, Annie and West Side Story. He has accompanied many fine vocalists including Engelbert Humperdinck (5 performances in 2005), and he has performed internationally in Japan and the Netherlands. Locally, Steve has played at nearly 2,000 weddings and other functions in the NY metro area. Steve enjoys nurturing the talents of performers of all ages. He is currently the musical director at the Pierce Country Day School/Camp in Roslyn. Steve is also a composer/lyricist and plans to debut his original music in the near future.
